Introducing the 2017 Promise Ball Host Committee

We are excited to announce the implementation of a Host Committee for this year's Promise Ball. Chaired by Donna & Larry James, the Host Committee is made up on individuals willing to lend financial support to the Promise Ball in an honorary position while honoring the Davis family that exemplifies the "Buckeye Promise".

This year's Promise Ball will proudly honor Steven & Lynnda Davis with the Buckeye Promise Award in honor of their phenomenal commitment in supporting JDRF's mission to treat, prevent and ultimately cure type 1 diabetes (T1D). In joining the Host Committee, you are pledging your support of the Davis family and JDRF. Your name(s) will appear on publications for the Promise Ball noting your generous support and personal endorsement for JDRF funded research nationwide and right here in Central Ohio.

For more information or to pledge your support of the Davis family, please contact Megan Polk at mpolk@jdrf.org or by calling 614-464-2873.

About Us

We're the stop at nothing type

JDRF exists for the millions of children, adults, and families affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) every single day. Their determination to overcome this disease strengthens ours to end it by funding life-changing T1D research.

T1D is an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas loses the ability to produce insulin — a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.

Your participation in JDRF events ensures that JDRF can continue funding critical T1D research. With your support, this research will continue to bring us closer to a world without T1D.

JDRF is an accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency.
